Marine Veteran and Past Commandant of the Marine Corps League of Tampa, David Kirk announced recently that a new Marine Veterans group is forming in Lutz/Land O’ Lakes, Florida. The new group is called “Marine Forever Veterans Group” and builds on the “Once a Marine, Always a Marine”, slogan.
The new group was formed to give veterans living in the Central Pasco and Northern Hillsborough Counties a venue for meeting to have fun, food, fellowship and inter-service camaraderie with special emphasis placed on promoting the heritage and traditions of the United States Marine Corps. The group will also be staunch supporters of military and community activities such as the Wounded Warrior Program and the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program.
Membership is available free of charge, to all honorably discharged Marines and Navy FMF Corpsmen. Marine Forever welcomes guests of members and all honorably discharged veterans from other branches of service to attend its meetings and events.
The group meets every Monday evening at 7:00 P.M. in the side room at Elsa’s Mexican Restaurant behind McDonald’s near the intersection of US Rte 41 and Sunset Rd. in Lutz.
