Pedestrian Dead, Another Injured After Being Hit by Car
Update: State police have identified the Land O' Lakes man killed in the crash.
UPDATE: A pedestrian struck and killed by a car March 8 has been identified as William Ross Acton of Land O' Lakes.
ORIGINAL POST: One pedestrian is dead and another injured after being hit by a car March 8.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Christopher Bossio, 24, of Spring Hill, was driving a Honda Civic north on U.S. 41 just before 8:15 p.m.
As Bossio drove into the intersection at Hale Road, two pedestrians entered his path, attempting to cross from the west to east side of U.S. 41, FHP states.
Bossio hit both pedestrians: Howard Farley Creps, 21, of Land O’ Lakes; and a 62-year-old Land O’ Lakes man whose name has not yet been released.
Both pedestrians were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital North in Lutz, according to FHP. The 62-year-old man was pronounced dead, and Creps remains in serious condition.
