2 Dead in Land O' Lakes Traffic Accident

The collision occurred early Monday morning at Sunterra Drive and Land O’ Lakes Boulevard.

 

Two people are reported dead after Monday morning traffic accident involving four cars at Sunterra Drive and Land O’ Lakes Boulevard.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, A 1991 Chevy S-10 was traveling northbound on Land O' Lakes Boulevard at about 7:35 a.m. when the vehicle traveled into the southbound lane for an "unknown reason," into the path of a 1994 Ford F-150 driven by Jeffrey Makc Osborne, 43, of Spring Hill.

Osborne turned onto the west shoulder of the highway to avoid a collision with the S-10. The undercarriage of his vehicle struck fiber optic cables and came to a rest, according to the report.

The S-10 continued traveling north in the southbound lane and collided head-on with a 2007 Mitsubishi Gallant.

Bradford Lee Ball, 36, of Spring Hill turned his 2006 Toyota Corolla to avoid the collision and hit a traffic control sign. Ball also had a passenger in his vehicle, Diane Francis Stivers, 62, of Spring Hill.

The drivers of the S-10 and the Mitsubishi Gallant both died at the scene.The names of the deceased will be released after their families are notified.

The incident remains under investigation, according to the FHP.
