Bella Will Catch Your Eye

This dog has an unusual appearance that’s sure to turn heads.

Bella might have the short legs and distinct appearance that comes from being a basset hound/Labrador mix, but she’s 100 percent sweetheart.

The 3-year-old mixed breed is well trained. She can high-five, sit, stay and does her best to perform other tricks. Add to this the fact she loves attention and she’d make a great pet for anyone looking for a four-legged critter to call their own, say the workers at Pasco County Animal Services in Land O’ Lakes.

Right now, Bella is spending her days and nights at the shelter, but she’d rather have a place of her own. To find out about adopting Bella or any of her four-legged friends, visit animal services, 19670 Dogpatch Lane.

The shelter is open for adoptions Tuesday and Wednesday from noon to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from noon to 6:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from noon to 4:30 p.m. The center is closed on holidays. For more information, call 813-929-1212.
