The Shops at Wiregrass will be hopping—and barking and meowing and howling and growling—this Saturday as Dogtoberfest takes over Center Court.

October 27 also is National Pit Bull Awareness/Appreciation, according to an announcement posted on Patch. And Pit Bull Happenings Rescue (PBHR) will bring the appreciation to Dogtoberfest, Eric Emminger said in the post.

There will be more than 50 rescue organizations with dogs, cats, and other animals such as birds, lizards, guinea pigs, Emminger wrote.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 27 at The Shops at Wiregrass.
