Cinderella Project Location Changed
Pasco County teen girls have a new venue to visit to pick up dresses for their upcoming proms.
Pasco County Cinderellas who need a little help getting to the ball have a new location to visit to pick up their finery.
The folks behind the Cinderella Project have announced a venue change for the upcoming March 23 pickup. That’s the date high school girls from all over Land O’ Lakes and beyond can report to pick up dresses and accessories they may not otherwise be able to afford.
While the date and the time of the pickup (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) remain unchanged, the venue to visit has. Dresses and accessories will now be made available at 7916 Evolutions Way in Trinity. This is in the Trinity Oaks Commerce Park.
What is the Cinderella Project?
Now in its ninth year, the project is a grassroots effort launched by school board member Alison Crumbley and her longtime friend Laurie Weiss. The project provides new and gently used prom dresses and accessories to girls who cannot otherwise afford them.
For kids to be eligible for a prom dress, they just need to show up on the pickup day and present a valid Pasco County School ID.
How to Help
There’s still time for people to help the fairy godmothers behind the Cinderella Project before prom season arrives. Just drop off new or gently used dresses and accessories at any Pasco County high school before the pickup day.
