The wait is over. Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel will open to patients at 7 a.m. on Monday, Oct.1.
After 22 months of construction, the 200,000 square foot, all-private room hospital will feature the latest state-of-the-art surgical and radiological equipment and is designed to grow with the community. More than 175 physicians will practice at the hospital in the following specialty areas: Emergency Department; Vascular Surgery; Cardiac Care; Orthopedics and Sports Medicine; Radiology Services and Imaging Diagnostics; Obstetrics and Gynecology; Women’s Mammography and Diagnostics; General Surgery; Urology; Gastroenterology; and Pulmonary.
The 18-bed emergency room features a streamlined emergency room process, dedicated imaging equipment, nurses and board-certified emergency room physicians on-site 24-hours a day and a themed, interactive waiting room specifically for children anchored by a 900-gallon reef aquarium in partnership with The Florida Aquarium.
The hospital recently held a community grand opening attended by 8,000 people anxious to see the much anticipated, state-of-the-art facility which was intentionally designed with a focus on healing, patient care and wellness.
