Like dogs? Here's your chance to help improve the life of a dog embarking on a better life.

The Suncoast Animal League is looking for foster homes for several dogs that were rescued Thursday. Almost 30 dogs were in danger of being put down at shelters in Pasco and Hillsborough counties, so the Suncoast Animal League, which is a no-kill shelter, offered to take them in.

The dogs, some from a shelter in Land O' Lakes, received the royal treatment when they arrived at the Suncoast Animal League Thursday. Volunteers from Nielsen were on hand to give them baths and lots of attention. The dogs will also be spayed or neutered and they'll receive immunizations before they head off to foster homes.

If you are interested in fostering one of the dogs, call the Suncoast Animal League at 727-786-1330. The league also accepts monetary donations as well. The Suncoast Animal League is located at 1030 Pennsylvania Ave. in Palm Harbor.
