Gizmo is a 10-month-old puppy with plenty of energy to spare. He loves to run, play and get attention.

The problem is Gizmo doesn't have a home or family of his own. Right now he spends his days at Pasco County Animal Services in Land O’ Lakes. Shelter workers describe the retriever mix as lovable and quite friendly.

The shelter is open for adoptions Tuesday and Wednesday from noon to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from noon to 6:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from noon to 4:30 p.m. The center is closed on holidays.
