Horse Play Not Suspected in Lost Animal Case

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office has impounded a lost horse deputies found wandering in Land O’ Lakes.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office needs a little help to identify a subject in one of its cases.

No, it’s not a bank robber or someone suspected in a burglary.

In this particular case, the “subject” is a horse that was found wandering in Land O’ Lakes on March 6, says Melanie Snow, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.

She was found in the area of Pump Station and Ehren Cutoff roads, near the wellfield area.

Could this be a case of horse play involving an owner who abandoned a pet?

The sheriff's office doesn't think so.

“The horse is in good shape so we do not believe it was intentionally dropped off,” the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page says.

Anyone who might know who this horse belongs to is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 727-844-7711.

Is your pet missing? Have you found a critter wandering the neighborhood you want to return to its home? Be sure to post your information and a photo of the pet in the Land O’ Lakes Patch announcements section.
