Houseguest Accused of Stealing Gun, Jewelry
The former Land O' Lakes High basketball player hid them in his sister's backpack and left the home, according to the sheriff's office.
He was invited into their home as a guest. But after the family left, Timothy Jamier Crews-Hill helped himself to their valuables, a Pasco County complaint affidavit stated.
According to the affidavit, Crews-Hill, a former Land O' Lakes High basketball player, entered the master bedroom after the homeowners left the residence and took a firearm, two rings and "some miscellanious paper items," then hid them in his sister's backpack and gave them to a friend to hide for him.
When questioned by a deputy, Crews-Hill provided the location of the backpack, the firearm and "some marijuana," the report stated.
Post-Miranda, Crews-Hill did not admit to taking the items, however he did provide their location and admitted to entering the master bedroom without permission, the report stated.
The incident report was unclear as to where the marijuana came from, Pasco Sheriff's Office spokesman Kevin Doll said.
Crews-Hill, 18, of 9200 Seeger Lane was charged with grand theft firearm. He remained in the Land O' Lakes jail on Friday in lieu of $5,000 bond.
