Food, fun and free: three of the best words in the English language. And they’re getting together for a party.

The Shoppes at Sunlake, 18901 State Road 54, will host a back-to-school bash from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 31, featuring live local entertainment, food and prizes.

You Say When Yogurt, Suncoast Running, Beef O' Brady's, Publix, Blend Fitness and Pretty in Paint are sponsoring the free community event.

“Beef's will have the cornhole game set up, there will be a prize wheel at the Blend table for people to win prizes, the yogurt shop will be doing some giveaways, and Pretty in Paint will have small tiles for the kids to design,” Blend Fitness owner Jason Arigoni said.

Arigoni, who also heads up the Sunlake Relay for Life, said information about joining the team will be available at the American Cancer Society tent. And if you’re looking to join a new gym, Blend Fitness will donate 50 percent of enrollment fees from new memberships purchased that evening.

No purchase is necessary to join the fun, though. The entire event is free, including food and activities, Arigoni said.
