Land O' Lakes Senior Leaders 'Get It Done'

Tim Crews-Hill and Darrell Warren talk about the match on Friday night against rivals in Sunlake High School.

After beating their old alma mater, Sunlake High School, Tim Crews-Hill and Darrell Warren had some insight on the "cross-town rivalry."

“I just like to go out there and play. We went out with the mindset that we have to win because the first time, (Sunlake) beat us,” said Land O’ Lakes senior Tim Crews-Hill. “We had to go out there and get it done.”

Darrell Warren expressed that he gives Sunlake a lot of respect for their play on Friday night.

“They played us a good game, but … We won.”

Both players hope to extend their basketball careers at the college level, and Crews-Hill shared he wants to “go pro.”

When asked what player on Sunlake has gotten noticeably better, both Crews-Hill and Warren shared a mutual agreement that junior guard, Jamal Jones, had improved greatly. Crews-Hill also mentioned junior guard, Pedro Pabon, as a player that has also shown improvement since last year.

Tim and Darrell went into the locker room early on Friday evening and envisioned what they were going to do, which was simply, beat Sunlake, and with the help from their determination, the Land O’ Lakes Gators delivered a "big" home victory, besting Sunlake 49-37.
