Man Molested 10-Year-Old Girl, Deputies Say

The incident occurred shortly after the girl's birthday in October.

An Odessa man faces capital sexual battery charges after Pasco deputies say he molested a 10-year-old girl.

Mark Wesley Semrau, 19, is accused of molesting the girl just after her 10th birthday in October, according to a complaint affidavit.

In a non-custodial interview with deputies, Semrau admitted he knew the girl had just turned 10, and said that he touched her vagina with both his finger and his tongue, the report stated.

Semrau of 1137 Bluefield Road was arrested Thursday, Nov. 29. He is being held in the Land O' Lakes jail without bond.

"In a non-custodial interview with deputies, Semrau admitted he knew the girl had just turned 10, and said that he touched her vagina with both his finger and his tongue, the report stated."
Yes, in a "non-custodial interview".......w/ deputies of Land O' Lakes, FL. Mr. Samrau NEVER stated this and never made this quote this is just more of our "junk media" system trying to make a buck. Mr. Semrau has been around my children in his adult life and I have never had any worries. I am a professional w/ a MBA and would never think twice about Mr. Semraus' innocence. This is a case of an ex-girlfriend trying to get the worst revenge on a man that did not want to see her any more, otherwise she would have reported this LAST October, while making these completely false and absurd accusations. Do your research people!!!!!!

I would also like to add that the person writing this article, Ms. Keli Sipperley is the REAL criminal! Do some fact checking before writing Ms. Sipperley, as you are a disgrace to true media and a TRUE contribution to our "junk-media" driven society.

Just to clarify, all the information in this story was taken directly from a Pasco County Sheriff's Office affidavit. These reports are public record and contain information relayed by deputies at the time of a complaint and/or arrest.

And by the way....a "Non custodial interrogation" (also called an interview) - A non custodial interrogation is the gathering of information by police from a person that is not yet officially considered a suspect for the offense being investigated. An interviewee is not in police custody and is free to leave at any time. A non custodial interview does not require the police to read the suspect his Miranda rights in order to use statements as evidence at trial. Ciao'! Live and learn people.....this is a falsely accused mans' life at stake!!!!

And for many of you whose IQ's are below 50........"Man Molested 10-Year-Old Girl, Deputies Say",,,,,,,,This is the headline, enough said. But for those stupid people.....it just means, why did they have to say "deputies' say"....are we to mistrust what deputies say? Just some food for thought for the weightless....lol

As much as I believe in reporting the facts I believe that the part of where she was touched and how is really inappropriate and could have been worded in a much different way. Details even though in the police report and even though they are public knowledge can be worded differently by using a bit of discretion. I'm sure that there's no only the adult population that reads the Patch. Thanks for reconsidering the wordings of future articles to reflect the integrity and discretion that was previously always present when the Patch was published. :)

I would have liked to come down on Joe Blow for sticking up for this "Perve" and say how dare he accuse the media of fabricating a story to make it sensational and up the writers standing in the professional news comunity - but after what happened to poor George Zimmerman I can now clearly see how the media can destroy someone's life with bulls**t in print the really big question is, "How often does this actually happen?"
