Memorial Day: Another Day Of Thanks For Area Nudists

Most people think of the Memorial Day weekend as the kickoff to the summer season. With the school year ending and long summer evenings allowing the party to go on longer into the day, it's a great time of year.

But, it's about more than barbecues.

Pasco area Nudists (and across the country) celebrate also, but most of us have an appreciation for why we have a Memorial Day to begin with -  to honor those who have gone before us  that gave their all to make sure we have the true freedom to live our lives the way we want.

No one ever said that our American way of life is perfect; in many ways we are still a work in progress. But if you think of the strides we've made even in my lifetime, no other country can  offer what we do. And the freedom to be who we are, and to be true to ourselves, be it our spiritual beliefs or our lifestyle choices. But, as the quote goes, "freedom has never been free."

So take a moment to reflect on this as you enjoy your friends and family and your cookout this weekend. And if know a veteran, an active duty person in the service, or even the parents of one, shake their hands and say, "Thanks!"
