Two Land O’ lakes families were jarred awake at 2 a.m. Thursday by a loud banging on their apartment doors.
The culprit: a naked man.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Nicholas Edward Barnett of Brandon was knocking on the doors of two apartments at 22702 Chesterview Loop, cursing because he wasn’t let in. When the residents looked through their peepholes, they noted that he was not wearing any clothing.
Both families called 911, fearing that Barnett would try to force his way inside their homes, according to a complaint affidavit.
Barnett, 23, of 2209 Krista Lane in Brandon was later arrested and charged with disorderly intoxication. He was released late Thursday night on $100 bond.

These people have no guts. I love how they looked through the peephole, saw a naked man, then called 911. If this was me I would of opened the door and politely asked the man why he was banging on my door and why he wasn't wearing any clothes. There would of been a very high probability that this gentleman would of then hit me. Which at that point this would of gave me the legal obligation to give him the beat down of his life. Or worse, he could of came in my apartment where I could of then kindly informed him he was trespassing and that he should leave now or I would use deadly force. He most likely would not leave and therefore he would of got a free trip to the hospital because of some random bullet wound to his leg. He sure would of learned his lesson. No you rather call 911. Let the police handle it. You must be from Canada. Oh no, scary man at our door. Lets run and hide. Give me a break.
