A water main break is to blame for the northbound lanes of Florida Avenue being closed just south of Fletcher Avenue this afternoon.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, all northbound lanes are closed to traffic from 131^st to Fletcher. It is unclear when the lanes will reopen or how far south traffic might be backed up at this time.

Motorists are being asked to take alternative routes during their afternoon commutes.
