The 10-month-old female is very friendly and playful, Pasco County Animal Services volunteer Jeff Lipkes said.

The adoption fee is $70, plus a $5 tag required for Pasco residents. The shelter accepts cash or checks only.

"For the rest of November, veterans and active-duty military as well as seniors over 55 can adopt animals at half price," Lipkes wrote in a blog post. "Everyone else can also take home a dog or cat at 50 percent off during the Adoption Center's Black Friday Sale, Nov. 20-30."
