The mood in the stands was hopeful, but not overly optimistic as the Charles S. Rushe Middle School Ravens took to the field Tuesday night.

After all, Dade City's football teams have a reputation for getting things done.

Ravens fans, however, had nothing to fear and that was evident by the end of the first half. Rushe's players walked off the field with a strong 14-6 lead over the Pasco Middle Pirates.

While the Pirates rallied in the second half, it wasn't enough. The Ravens soared to a 26-14 victory.
