SUV Rollover Kills Land O’ Lakes Man; Three Others Injured
The 27-year-old victim died from injuries, after being ejected from the vehicle.
A 27-year-old Land O’ Lakes man died after being thrown from a vehicle that flipped over Saturday at an Interstate 75 ramp on Interstate 4.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Stephen Wolfe was a passenger in a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by 22-year-old Lauren Kelsey Carter, also of Land O’ Lakes.
Carter was traveling east on I-4 in the center lane at about 3:20 a.m., FHP stated. She changed lanes to the I-75 entrance ramp and apparently lost control of the vehicle, driving onto the right shoulder of the ramp.
Carter over-corrected, and the vehicle overturned more than once, according to FHP.
As the car flipped over, Wolfe and another passenger, Donivan Nelson, 24, of Tampa, were thrown from the vehicle.
Wolfe, Carter, Nelson and a third passenger, Taylor Moore, 19, of Land O’ Lakes, were taken to Tampa General Hospital, FHP stated.
Once there, Wolfe died from the injuries he sustained during the crash.

Its such a shame to lose a young life that way...As an over the road 18 wheel driver with several million miles plus a past competition race car driver that has seen 200mph and beyond... I see this time an time again...I can't stress to young drivers enough that in a split second decision your life can drastically as you know it from bad driving decisions..Pay attention & drive with a plan..Its not a video game
