Torch Run Comes to Land O' Lakes
Traffic on Land O' Lakes Boulevard is heavier than normal as law enforcement officers make their annual run.
Drive on Land O' Lakes Boulevard this morning and chances are you're in for quite a sight as the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run makes its way through Land O' Lakes.
Each year, law enforcement officers, including those from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, pass the torch to signify the start of the Special Olympics. According to the Special Olympics Florida website, more than 5,000 officers take part in the 1,500-mile relay, which also raises money for the games.
