Traffic Stops Leads to Drug Arrest
More than 4 grams of methamphetamine was seized in the early morning arrest.
A trip through Land O’ Lakes early this morning ended badly for a Tampa man found with methamphetamine in his car.
According to a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office report, a deputy pulled the man over in the Village Lakes Shopping Center parking lot around 12:30 a.m. Sept. 19 after he had been clocked doing 65 mph in a 50 mph zone. The man was initially arrested for driving on a suspended license, but the charges didn’t stop there.
“While inventorying his vehicle prior to impound, I located a bag on the floor next to the driver’s seat containing 4.3 grams of methamphetamine packaged in seven small Ziploc bags, a scale and numerous small empty Ziploc bags,” the deputy wrote in his report.
Keith Edward Ross Jr., 34, of 4130 12th Ave. N. in Tampa remained in the Land O’ Lakes Jail this afternoon on $10,000 bond. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell and driving on a suspended license.
