Wax Museum Brings History to Life for 3rd-Graders

Pine View Elementary School students recently had the chance to ‘walk in” the shoes of some of history’s greats.

What do Walt Disney, Amelia Earhart and Cleopatra all have in common?

Ask the third-graders in Lisa Luker’s class at Pine View Elementary School and they’ll tell you each is a character in the living wax museum they recently staged on the campus.

For the production, students each researched a famous historical figure to learn interesting biographical facts about their lives, accomplishments and challenges. Then they each dressed the part of their selected person to help create a 13-plus-minute video that chronicles their work while telling the tales of some of history’s most famous figures.

Check out the video included in this story to see the living museum.
