Wellness Plaza at Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel Breaks Ground
The building will be completed in early 2013, after the planned opening of the hospital in September 2012.
Officials broke ground on the Wellness Plaza at Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel early this week.
The Wellness Plaza, a 100,000-square-foot, three-story building, will be the home of physician office space, a 50,000-square-foot comprehensive Health and Wellness Center, a women’s center and other clinical services.
"We’re very pleased to begin construction on the Wellness Plaza at Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel and are targeting a completion date of early 2013," Donna F. Jarmusz, Alter+Care’s senior vice president for Business Development and Strategic Initiatives, said in a statement. "Wellness Plaza is representative of a new, integrated approach to health and wellness.
"Located adjacent to Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel, the Wellness Plaza will offer capabilities that are representative of the Adventist Health System wellness philosophy of educating the community in the principles of illness prevention and healthful living," Jarmusz added.
Alter+Care, an investor and owner of ambulatory medical facilities nationally, is the project's developer.
The Wellness Plaza will open in early 2013, months behind the planned September 2012 opening of Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel.
