What's Land O' Lakes Saying?

Check out what this reader had to say about the roads in the area.

We appreciate our readers and their contributions to the conversations on Patch.

Last week we asked which roads in Land O' Lakes concerned you most, and Bill shared his thoughts. Here is an excerpt from his comments.

US 41 and SR 54 are without a doubt the two most dangerous roads in the Land O Lakes area. I personally feel the danger arises not so much from speeding as from reckless, intolerant driving practices of drivers. One often feels they're competing on the NASCAR circuit while driving these roads.

Do you agree? And are there other roads in the area that concern you?

Thanks for sharing your views on Patch, Bill!

I can agree with that. Just last week we had a tragic accident at the end of our road. Not to say that speed was a factor, but you always have to watch out for those around you.

Its the typical Ahole..Meefirst..Screw you I'll tailgate so you'll move then I'll cut you off and flip you a bird driving methods so well taught across the land...I drive a big truck (18 wheeler) through there almost daily and its surprising to see a cop anywhere much less doing any ticket writing..Its truly ashame that people on the road have become such rude throatcutting roadrage induced texting on my smart phone gun toting idiots..An they call themselves adults..Imagine that..

There is no courtesy on the roads in ANY town. Is everyone in a hurry just to get to the next red light? On Collier Pkwy. where the road merges into one lane there are constant reminders of discourteous drivers who will push you off the road if you don't get out of their way so they can be first. We all need to learn to be better drivers. Get off the phone, and watch the road!
