Soccer Gemz is hosting a free event Aug. 25 that might score big points with your young soccer enthusiast.

Lyndsey Patterson of the Seattle Sounders will be available for photos and autographs from 9 to 10 a.m. at Lutz Preparatory Academy, 17951 US 41.

Since the US Women’s team won Olympic gold, it’s an exciting time for women’s soccer, Soccer Gemz director of operations Jerome Smalls said.

Children do not have to be registered Soccer Gemz players to come out and meet Patterson, he said.
