And that goes for the cooking at the newest restaurant we've been to.

The Gathering Place on Florida Ave in Lutz (just past LA Hang Out) has a very ambitious and interesting menu on their Facebook Page, featuring Free Range meats, Tappas, Fish Taco's, crab cakes, woodfired specialty pizzas & big Micro Brewed Beer & Wine list, but it was the food for me.

I don't like to jump the gun on new places, but it was dismal.Lots of growth needs to be applied to even get to fair.

Overdone meatloaf for $11 with just barely steamed brocoli in a bag florretes as the only side offered.

Stuffed chicken breast,  (The wife had this, with the brocoli. Said it was "tasteless and very small portion for $14)

No rolls, bread sides or salads or anything else was offered for a $31 bill with 2 ice teas and no refill offered.

The saving grace here was the service personel were nice enough, or we simply would have walked out. Like I said dismal and hardly worth the money they ask for the meals.

My advice, watch to see if they get better after the next month or so, then try it in season and see if it can gel the way it needs to. If not, it too would & should go the way a lot of other places who aspire to be something we all want, but just could not make it happen.
