Rather than sharing the bad stuff about the local restaurants, this time I want to go into where you go around here when you KNOW exactly what you want and where to get it.
This one is from your local Bob Evans On Dale Mabry Hwy, N. Tampa.
Currently, the wife and I are on a healthy path because it's summer, hot and we both can lose a few and eat better. She's found a salad made of baby spinich, dried cranberries, pecans, strawberries, apple slices, and a nice portion of sliced chicken breast with a rasberry vinagrette and onion dressing. (Not eactly my selection, but as long as she's happy.)
We've actually been going there for years and have found the staff very nice, rapid, and consistant. The food as well, so if wanting something relatively close and good value/quality, this is a fine choice.
My next "Best Dish" is something I like. A decent hamburger is a hard thing to find.(Not exactly the healthiest alternative, but mandatory sometimes! ;>) )
Tried a lot of them in the area and for me, the best all-around tasting burger is at Texas Road House On 54 in Wesley Chapel. Yes it's a big chain, and yes it's always packed, even in the summer months, but still, they can charbroil a burger, my friends! Try it. Let me know if you agree or not.
I'd like to compare my choices with yours! Let me know the best dishes you've had locally and where we can go to get it.

One of my favorites is the Lake Marjorie salad from Ukulele Brand's. Cole slaw as a side with just about anything at Hungry Harry's is also a great excuse to get out of cooking :)
