Where to Eat Well Within 40 Miles of Land O' Lakes

I've been asked to start a blog page on the subject of where to eat around here.

Let's step that up to "where to eat well."

Obviously, we live "out in the boonies" where food is concerned, so let's send a message that we'll take our money out of the area if it means we don't have to settle for what's available in LOL.

I'll start with a personal favorite, the Lucky Dill on route 19 south in Palm Harbor.

Located just south of Nebraska Ave and just north of Tampa Road, this place is worth the trip. Check the menu out and I highly suggest the Brisket Blue Plate Special on Thursdays. They give you a cup of some of the most awesome Chicken Matzo Ball Soup and a slice of Rasberry cheesecake along with the meal free. Can not beat this deal for the amount of food and quality of the preparation. 4.5 stars!!! Note: parking is at a premium.

Go. Enjoy. Great bakery, too.

Anywho, I will get on here and share where we go to eat as it's a seven-day thing for me and the wife. Always on the hunt for great food.

We are retired and she stopped cooking!! ;>)

Anybody have any suggestions?

Ok, It's summer for all intents and purposes, and time for the "take advantage of the lack of crowds at the door" season for restaurants! We actually look forward to this part of the year so we don't have to wait long, or in most cases at all to get seated.
The trouble comes in when the service suffer the loss of people too. ;(
