All information is obtained from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 16-year-old Lutz teen Feb. 7 in relation to a January home invasion where the victim was beaten. According to a Pasco County affidavit, the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Jan. 25. The victim was inside his Billie Direct Lane home in Lutz when he spotted a teenager he knew by first name in his backyard. The teen then entered the home through the sliding glass door and “started beating him for no apparent reason,” the report said. The victim retreated to his bedroom and grabbed the suspect. A 19-year-old Land O’ Lakes man was arrested Jan. 27 in connection with the beating of a pregnant girl. According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was hired by the boyfriend to do a “fake robbery” where the victim, who was 11 weeks pregnant at the time, would be kicked in the stomach. The attack occurred around 1:30 a.m. Jan. 1 while the victim, age 17, was a passenger in her boyfriend’s vehicle. The vehicle was taken to 11651 Baywood Meadow Dr. in New Port Richey where deputies say the boyfriend called the suspect on his cell phone. The suspect got into the back seat of the …
A 44-year-old Land O’ Lakes man was arrested Jan. 25 in relation to a Dec. 12 molestation incident involving a 10-year-old girl. According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, the girl said the man molested her on several occasions. “The defendant covered her mouth with his hand during the incidents and told her not to say anything to anybody, ‘or else,’ ” Detective James Gariepy wrote in a Pasco Sheriff’s Office affidavit. A Jan. 4 incident at the Land O' Lakes Detention Center has led to additional charges for two men who were already jailed there. According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, two inmates bound a third to a bunk bed by tying him to the poles with "torn strips of bed sheets and socks." The victim's hands were tied behind his back and his feet were bound to the bottom of the bed post. A detention deputy discovered the victim and untied him, the report said. A 24-year-old Odessa man was arrested Jan. 2 on multiple charges, including resisting arrest without violence, after a Target security officer saw the man attempt to steal the "Alien Anthology" DVD collection. According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was parked outside of the 1040 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. store around 6:40 p.m. The security officer flagged down the deputy as the store's manager ran after the suspect. The deputy got out of his cruiser and ran towards the suspect, shouting "Sheriff's Office, stop!" Despite the deputy's repeated efforts to get the man to stop, he kept …
Pasco County Sheriff's deputies continue to search for a man they have identified in conjunction with a Dec. 8 residential burglary in The Oaks subdivision in Lutz. Deputies say two suspects forced entry into a home in that neighborhood around 1 p.m. and took flat-screen televisions worth $2,500. The suspects fled the scene after one of them came face-to-face with a 13-year-old girl who was home at the time. The girl was able to proivde information about that suspect to deputies, who issued a sketch of the man earlier this week. The suspect is described as a black male between the age of 18 …
Pasco County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Hudson woman and her son Dec. 12 after the pair were caught shoplifting at Walmart, 1575 Land O' Lakes Blvd. According to deputies, the pair entered the store around 10 p.m. and began taking items off the shelves. They then proceeded to the housewares section where they took out plastic Walmart shopping bags they brought into the store and stuffed them with an estimated $584 worth of merchandise.
