First United Methodist Church of Land O' Lakes has been a part of the Lutz/Land O' Lakes community since 1959. It moved to its current location in 1972 and has grown there to its present size. Since 1972 it has had 11 pastors, including current Pastor Peter Cotrell. The large, red brick building fits the common image of a church house, with its tall front doors and high, towering spire topped by a cross.
