Noisy Books

Noisy books for kids? Yes, please! Let your auditory learners learn.

As much as I don't necessarily like noisy books as a parent, my kids absolutely adore any books that have buttons to play sounds.  I even found one that was missing the actual book pages at a mom's group swap that I couldn't resist grabbing just for the noisy buttons.  They have proven great entertainment for my kids, especially in the car.

Usborne Books has a variety of options, such as Noisy Orchestra.  This one, in particular, is perfect because it isn't just "noise", but music.  I take my kids to music classes (Music with Mar and Tiny Tots at Idlewild Church), even though I am musically illiterate myself.  They enjoy it and that's all that matters.  This book helps develop those lessons learned in class and reinforces a musical appreciation in even the youngest of learners.

This particular title has gentle woodwinds to crashing drums, is a great introduction to classical music and has a great storyline of animals practicing for a concert. Very entertaining!
