It's Thursday, May 5, and it's already been a crazy week in Land O' Lakes. If you're wondering what's going on around town today, here are five things to keep in mind:
- Plan for another hot one – Today’s partly cloudy skies are expected to come along with highs in the mid-80s and lows in the upper 50s. Make sure to bring along some sunscreen if you head outside for any length of time!
- You can get connected – If it’s time to do a little networking, the group can help you get the job done. The group meets weekly on Thursdays at 8 a.m.
- You can check out some art shows – Both Rushe and Pine View middle schools have their art shows tonight. The up-and-coming artists from Pine View start their show at 6:30 and Rushe's starts at 5:30.
- It’s a great night to exercise – offers its exercise class tonight starting at 7 p.m. Although it’s a full service gym, Blend Fitness offers a variety of low-cost classes nonmembers can take part in, among other services. Classes range from $7 to $15 for nonmembers.
- It’s Cinco De Mayo – Tonight’s a great night to get out and have a little fun in honor of Cinco De Mayo. Restaurants and bars throughout the Land O’ Lakes area are offering specials to coincide with the date.
