What do you need to know today, July 7?

It’s Thursday and the weekend is almost here. If you’re wondering what you need to know today, here are five things to consider:

  • You can expect normal summer weather – As if there was any doubt, summer is officially here weather-wise. Expect highs in the 90s and a chance for rain today.
  • You can get connected – The group meets at 7:30 a.m. today. If you want to get the word out about your business and what you do, this might be a great group to consider.
  • You can start off your day with yoga – If you like starting your day off with a good stretch, might be for you. It is open to all levels and takes place in Wilderness Lake. It starts at 8:30 a.m. and costs $5 a session.
  • You can go hear a story – Stop by the Land O’ Lakes Library today at 11:30 a.m. for . This is a great introduction to reading for the smallest of patrons and their caregivers.
  • West Point history was made today – For the first time ever, female cadets were allowed to enroll at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point on this day in 1976. A total of 62 women would go on to graduate in 1980 from this first class.
