Church Mascot Is A Turtle?

According to Land O' Lakes Patch Facebook Reader Phyllis Phillips Harvester United Methodist Church has a new resident.

A gopher turtle.

Phillips left this message on our page earlier this week: 

"A gopher turtle has taken up residence and is building her nest next to the front of the church. Since they are an endangered species, she cannot be moved. We are embracing her and making it a teachable event. There is a sign marking the nest with the expected "hatch" date. The next step is to find a name for our gopher turtle."
