When/Where: This run takes place June 11 at 6431 Bank St. in New Port Richey.
Why Go: This is a fundraiser for the RAP House (Runaway Alternatives Project). Last year, the event had more than 1,000 participants.

When/Where: This seminar takes place at East-West Animal Hospital, 1524 Land O’ Lakes Blvd., June 11 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Why Go: Find out why your pets are afraid of storms and what you can do to ease their fears.

Why Go: Check out a free movie in the park on a giant, inflatable screen. This week’s movie is “The Goonies,” a serious blast from the past indeed.
