GET OUT: Weekend Events Preview March 29-31

With a variety of entertainment venues and restaurants in the area, there's no reason to spend the weekend at home. We've put together a list of fun things to do in the Land O' Lakes area.

Wine Festival

Florida Estates Winery, 25241 State Road 52 near Land O'Lakes, will host a Wine Festival from Saturday, March 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will include live entertainment, vendors offering unique gifts and an opportunity to sample the winery's offerings and meet the winemaker for an educational tasting.

Jellybean Jamboree

Bring a picnic lunch and meet the Easter Bunny Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. at the Land O' Lakes Community Center, 5401 Land O' Lakes Blvd., Land O' Lakes. There will be a free candy scramble starting at 11:30 a.m. for kids up to 2 years old and each subsequent age group will follow up to 11-12-year-olds.  This event is free and co-sponsored by the Heritage Park Foundation in conjunction with the Pasco County Parks and Recreation Department.

Native Plant Sale

The Florida Native Plant Society, Nature Coast Chapter will host a native plant sale Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. at the Land O' Lakes Community Center, 5401 Land O' Lakes Blvd., Land O' Lakes. Find native trees, plants shrubs, wildflowers, ground covers and more to spruce up your spring garden. The event also will include books for sale and advice from Master Gardeners on how to choose the right plant for your garden spot, whether sunny or shady.

Live Music On Tap

Ukulele Brand's, 4805 Land O' Lakes Blvd., Land O' Lakes, hosts live music every Friday and Saturday night starting at 8 p.m.

Fresh Market

The Shoppes of Wiregrass will host its Fresh Market featuring 50 to 70 vendors Saturday, March 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
