Girl Scout Cookies: How to Get Them in Land O' Lakes

Whether it’s Tagalongs, Samoas or Thin Mints you just can’t live without, now’s the time to start placing orders for this year’s round of Girl Scout cookie sales.

The Girls Scouts of West Central Florida kicked off its annual selling campaign on Monday in multiple counties throughout the state, including Pasco. Sales will continue through March on those sweet treats that help fund programs and activities for young girls across the region.

Girl Scouts will take pre-orders of cookies through Jan. 27 with delivery anticipated to begin on Feb. 15, according to a media release from the Girl Scouts.

Booth sales of cookies outside local stores will begin on Feb. 22 and continue through March 17.

How to Get Your Cookie Fix

Not sure how to find a Girl Scout to place an order or where to look for a booth to buy a box in person? Here’s how to find cookie sellers in Land O' Lakes:

• Starting Feb. 22, just visit www.gswcf.org and search by ZIP code for a booth near you;
• Visit www.gswcf.org/cookies, or call 1-800-881-4475, Ext. 1778, for more information on finding a location to buy.
• Use your smartphone to download the Girl Scout Cookie Locator app by calling **GSCOOKIES  (**472665437) from your phone. You also can visit the iPhone App Store or Android Market Place to download the Cookie Locator.

Supporting the Military

The Girl Scouts are continuing the Gift of Caring program this year. Through the effort, anyone can purchase cookies to send to troops overseas. To make a donation, just let the Girl Scout you are ordering or buying from know you want to participate.
