Land O' Lakes High Relay Raises Nearly $31,000
Local fundraising events for the American Cancer Society continue with the Relay for Life of Sunlake on Friday.
Land O' Lakes has come out strong in the fight against cancer this year.
The recent Relay for Life at Land O' Lakes High raised $30,952, according to American Cancer Society community representative Kristy Dalbec.
"Congratulations to all of our wonderful teams and all of their hard work and dedication," Dalbac said in an email. " Thanks to your commitment to the mission, ACS is able to provide much needed services right here in our own communities."
"We appreciate all that you do to create a world with more birthdays," Dalbac wrote.
The fight against cancer continues in Land O' Lakes this week, with the Relay for Life of Sunlake at Rushe Middle School on Friday, April 17. A survivor and caregiver dinner begins at 4:30 p.m. Opening ceremonies will start at 6 p.m. The festivities, which include food, music, games and movies on the big screen under the stars, conclude at noon Saturday.
