Larry The Cable Guy Comes To Caliente Resort - NOT!
His filming of a segment for his TV show is canceled for now.
I was planning to tell you about a major thing happening here in Pasco County. On May 16, was scheduled to film a feature on Caliente Resort for his popular television series on the History Channel "Only in America" where he explores, with his own brand of humor, some of the many wonderful things we freedom loving Americans like to do. The Nudist lifestyle exemplifies this freedom that we enjoy.
Unfortunately, corporate reality stepped in and reared its ugly head.
According to Deb Bowen, marketing manager for Caliente Resort, Larry, (who incidentally was raised right here in central Florida), is doing a starring voice roll for "Cars 2," a new Disney film. Due to conflicts, Larry, also known as Dan Whitney, was unable to make the filming in Land O’ Lakes.

It’s really disheartening to see the taping put on hold. This would have been great positive spin for our lifestyle and Pasco County had it taken place. Bowen said it still may later in the summer. Time will tell.
I think Larry would have a great time spending the day with us!
