Why did you start your blog?
I started blogging to help inspire, motivate and encourage other people who might be struggling with different aspects of their life; from weight loss, to fitness, to raising 3 young children (one with special needs) my blog covers it all!!
What can we expect from your blog?
You can expect honesty, humor and a dose of reality!
What do you do when you're not blogging?
I work out, I co-teach indoor cycling classes, I try to do chores around the house, I have lunch with my kids at school. I try to stay as active as I can. Weekends are usually family time when we are active together, usually bike riding.
When do you find time to write between raising a child, working out and everything else you have to juggle?
I find time to write when the kids are in school during the day, or after they go to bed at night. I resigned from my full-time job in November so that I could concentrate on writing and motivational public speaking.
What have you learned from your own blog?
I’ve learned that people love giveaways ;) Seriously though, I’ve learned that blogging takes a lot of time and you have to network with other bloggers. Also I’ve learned not take myself so seriously. I’ll write what I think is a great blog post and no one will respond and then I’ll get a ton of comments on a post that took me just a few minutes. Blogging is a finicky thing.
You serve as an inspiration for folks trying to lose weight. When did you have that moment when it just clicked to get into a routine to shed the pounds and eat right?
My story was actually featured in the Land O’ Lakes Patch. The two part story is here:
