Road Closings You Need To Know About

A look at upcoming road closings.

If your game plan for happy motoring calls for avoiding areas where construction is going on, we’re here to help. Each week, we publish a listing of upcoming lane closures you may want to steer clear of.

Should you be out and about in the Land O’ Lakes area and beyond in the coming days, you might run into these construction-related lane closures and alignment changes announced by the Florida Department of Transportation:

State Road 52 between U.S. 41 and the Suncoast Parkway

Expect nightly lane closures here between 7 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays for resurfacing. This closing will be ongoing for a while longer.

Interstate 275 between U.S. 41 (North of Bearss) and Interstate 75

Nightly lane closures on northbound or southbound Interstate 275 are expected April 17-21. Northbound lane closings will be from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The southbound closings will be from 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Interstate 75 at Interstate 275

The right lane of northbound Interstate 75 will close from just south of Interstate 275 to south of the State Road 56 exit tonight, April 15, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.  The right southbound lane will close in the same area from 9 p.m. April 17 to 5 a.m. April 18.

The northbound right lane on Interstate 275 approaching Interstate 75 will close nightly from one half-mile south of I-75 to just north of the interchange. The closings will take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. tonight, April 15, and from April 17-22 during the evening hours.
