Scenes From Pasco's 1st Blueberry Festival

The Blueberry Jerry Jamboree kicked off on Friday, May 13th and lasted until Sunday, May 15th. The Jamboree is in memory of Jerry Short and his son Justin Short.

Pasco County's first Blueberry Jerry Jamboree offered entertainment, arts and crafts, and of course plenty of blueberries.

A produce stand was set up by the Veggie Depot, arts and crafts from local artists, and fun and games set up for childrens enjoyment.

Friday night the festival featured The Castle Rock Band for a live band performance.

Saturday morning the festival kicked off with blueberry pancake breakfast, followed by a Puppet show, put on by the Son Trust & Co. Puppet Team. Also, the festival organizer, Brenda Short,  signed copies of her childrens' book, "Mamaw & Papaw's Booberry Farm."

And oh, the blueberry-centric foods you could find. There was delicious blueberry cobbler, tasty blueberry muffins, cookies, and parfaits on sale. The cobbler stole the show.

The Blueberry Jerry Jamboree was held in honor of the late Jerry and Justin Short,  to honor and keep their spirits alive through an event such as this.

Rhoda Waymire, a vendor who was selling self-made bags, has been doing events and shows like this, selling her items for quite some time now, and says, "This one has done wonderful."
