There's lots going on in and around Land O' Lakes beginning today. Check out a few of the highlights.
Friday, March 23
Hey Kids, Rock and Roll: Eight young bands will battle it out tonight at Rockus Maximus XV, The Pasco County Library System’s annual battle of the bands. The concert starts at 6 p.m. at the Rotary Pavilion at The Concourse, 15325 Alric Pottberg Road (1/4 mile west of the Suncoast Parkway on SR-52) in Shady Hills. The winning band earns $1,000 cash and 10 hours of recording time at Morrisound Studios. The Land O’ Lakes and New Port Richey Patch editors will be among the judges. Come out and join us for a night of music and fun!
Chasco Fiesta Kicks Off in New Port Richey: The annual multi-day festival begins today. Midway rides, Native American Pow Wow, live music and more. Check out for details.
Saturday, March 24
Treasure Hunters, Start Your Engines: The GFWC Lutz-Pasco Junior Woman’s Clubstarts at 8 a.m. The event will include food booths and a bake sale. Proceeds benefit local charities.

Celebrate Your Health: The runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Shops at Wiregrass. The event includes venomous snake demonstrations, family fun zones, cooking demonstrations and more.
Get Your Freeze—and Your Dancin' Shoes—On: will have live music from 7 to 9 p.m. Stop by for a Hershey's ice cream concoction or a cup of Buddy Brew coffee and enjoy a performance by local musician Travis White. When he is not knocking your socks off at Walton’s, the multi-talented White plays with Three Cats and a Hat (bass and vocals) and the First United Methodists Church praise band (drums).

Pretty in Pink Grand Opening Celebration: Bring your daughters and enjoy a at , with girls ages 4 & up modeling the new party place's dress-up clothes.
