Land O’ Lakes Ranks As 27th Most Affordable Real Estate Market In Florida

Buyers looking for homes in the Land O’ Lakes area are likely to find some bargains, according to Coldwell Banker Real Estate.

The area ranks as the 27th cheapest in the state on Coldwell Banker’s recently released 2011 Home Listing Report. This report compares the average home listing prices of four-bedroom, two-bathroom properties listed on coldwellbanker.com between September 2010 and March 2011. 

The 2011 HLR report includes 2,300 markets in North America. The survey includes a total of 129 real estate markets in Florida.

Land O’ Lakes ranks 27th in the state and 304th in the nation with an average home price of $159,165.

The survey revealed that Hastings is the most affordable market in Florida with Palmetto Bay the most expensive. Both the state and national data and can be found at: http://hlr.coldwellbanker.com/. Homes in Hastings have an average listing price of $74,910 while the average price of a home in Palmetto Bay was $449,353.

Compared to the national average of $293,251, the average four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Florida overall was $218,670.

Here are some more local highlights included in the report:

• Wesley Chapel ranks 45th in the state and 498th in the nation with an average listing prices of $176,152
• Lutz ranks 87th in the state and 1,227th in the nation with an average listing price of $248,088
• Odessa ranks 106th in the state and 1,449th in the nation with an average listing price of $280,410
