Local Business Owner Collecting Sandy Relief Supplies

Donations can be dropped off at Monkey Bizness at The Shops at Wiregrass.

A new local business owner is asking customers to help her gather donations to help residents of her native Jersey Shore community in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Kristin Green of Monkey Bizness, an indoor children’s play center and coffee shop at the Shops at Wiregrass is collecting the items at the store, according to a press release.

According to the Monkey Bizness Facebook page, Green has some specific requests:

"We are specifically requesting small essentials and luxuries for the thousands of people still in shelters due to the lack of electric, heat or gas. Sample size toiletries, socks and underwear (all sizes), coloring books and crayons, small puzzles, packs of cards, magazines, gum, Tylenol, Advil, Motrin, etc.
We will be collecting all day and shipping what we have each evening. Please consider making Monetary donations to the American Red Cross."
