I honestly didn’t think a time would come when I would be talking about an impproved MySpace.
I spent a couple hours surfing the new remade social site, and I was so impressed, I updated my MySpace, Facebook, Twitter and even thought about taking a screenshot to pin it.
MySpace has created a space that should attract anyone who loves music. It combines Spotify, Pandora, Twitter and iTunes in one great place. Not only is it rich for discovering music, trends and people, but the design is brilliant.
It starts with the main navigation and music player that dynamically opens your playlist and allows you to move to any location on the site. Your profile sports a website large image as its design, and you navigate to your status updates and updates about your friends by scrolling horizontally instead of the traditional vertical direction.
I have spent much of the last 24 hours exploring new music, and I was highly impressed. Anyone who listens to Pandora or Spotify on PC may find it easier to listen and discover through MySpace. It’s very simple to find new music, create mixes and have Myspace select new music for you through the radio feature that is very much like Pandora. When looking at companies that have had to make a comeback, Myspace might have a chance to really impress the masses.
You do need to know that if you had a Myspace in the past, and you log into the new Myspace, you will start with 0 connections, so all your old friends are gone. If you haven’t checked it out, then it’s definitely worth your time.
Congrats to Myspace for the comeback!
