A Look At What We’re Covering This Week

A sneak peek at what we're covering the week of Feb. 14.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! It’s a brand new week and we’ve got lots of stories we’re looking into.

Here’s a look at just a few of the things we’re covering. We welcome you to take part in the process by sharing questions you’d like us to ask on such stories as:

  • What’s up with the sheriff’s budget? – The Pasco County Commission and Sheriff Bob White have. We'll find out what's next now that no new deputies will be added to patrols.
  • Just what do volunteer firefighters do? – Volunteer firefighters are important to Pasco County. We’ll take a look at what they do and how residents can get involved.
  • Oxygen masks for pets? – A local veterinary clinic is raising money to buy oxygen masks for all Pasco County Fire Rescue emergency response vehicles. We’ll try to find out why.
  • What the heck is an “Anti-Valentine’s” Dance? – The Land O’ Lakes Library is having one of these this week. We’ll find out what it is and why teens plan to turn out for the event.
  • Who’s the Whiz Kid? – Nominations are still open for the Land O’ Lakes Patch . Let us know your nomination.
