Best of 2012: Leap of Faith Shows Signs of Success for Pasco Inmates

The Bible-based Celebrate Recovery program is introduced at the Land O' Lakes jail, and inmates sing its its praises.

As 2012 comes to a close, Land O' Lakes Patch is taking a look back at the year that was. In March, we reported on the implementation of a faith-based initiative at the Land O' Lakes jail.

Celebrate Recovery, a Bible-based support program “for any hurt, habit or hang up," was introduced to Pasco inmates to help them on the road to recovery both in and out of jail.

“I never thought they’d care enough,”  inmate Joseph Churchville, 43, said at the time.  The program is available “not only here but when we leave here.”

Nocco spoke briefly to the men during the session Patch attended in March, and the men had a few words for him, as well.
