'Breaking Dawn' Part 2 Tickets on Sale Now

Tips for finding these in-demand tickets in the Land O' Lakes area and one parent's lament about "Twilight Mania."

What will happen to Edward and Bella? Will Renesmee survive the wrath of the Volturi? Will off-screen drama affect on-screen performance believability?

Those are just a few of the questions on the minds of movie watchers enamored with the Twilight Saga. The final installment in the series, which brings the works of author Stephenie Meyer to the big screen, debuts at 10 p.m. Nov. 15 at theaters across the country.

Much like the Harry Potter series, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, the Twilight Saga has a faithful following of those who will turn out in force for a late-night Thursday showing and likely return again once, twice or 10 times for good measure. From teenage girls to local middle school teachers and beyond, fans are poising themselves to “be there” the night of premiere.

The topic of Breaking Dawn has already become a big issue in my house where my teenage daughter can be heard on the phone scheming with her friends to snag tickets—and a ride—for the Thursday night showing. Well, let’s just say I hate spoiling an ending. What I can pass along, however, are tips on getting your tickets for the debut showing early in the Tampa Bay area. While Land O' Lakes doesn’t have its own movie theater, it’s fortunate enough to have several nearby.

Here’s where to look for advance tickets for that Thursday, Nov. 15, 10 p.m. showing:

  • Cobb Theatres Grove 16, 6333 Wesley Grove Blvd. in Wesley Chapel – This theater is playing host to a 10 p.m. showing of the movie on Nov. 15. Tickets are on sale now online at a cost of $10 for adults, $7.25 for seniors and $6.75 for children. Just change the date on the website’s ticket calendar to Nov. 15, pick the 10 p.m. showing – it’s playing on three screens – and order from Fandango.
  • Muvico Starlight 20, 18002 Highwood Preserve Parkway in New Tampa – This theater has some seats left online for its 10:01 and 10:02 p.m. showings on Nov. 15. The cost is $10 for adults, $7.50 for seniors and $7 for children.
  • Regal Citrus Park 20, 7999 Citrus Park Town Center Mall, Tampa – This theater still has some tickets left for the 10 p.m. show. Just order online. The pricing is $10 for adults, 7 for children and $5 for seniors.
